AMBERMERE INN
FOOD

With over 20yrs experience working with some of Sydney's most influential chefs/restaurateurs Head Chef & Co-Owner Megan Black moved to the rural community of Little Hartley in 2014. With a paddock to plate & nose to tail philosophy, her food centres around the season & plays homage to our local & regional growers, creating dishes to be enjoyed around the table with family & friends.  There is a strong emphasis on old traditions such as preserving, pickling, curing & slow cooking with a commitment to hand made ingredients.

Our small bar reflects what was commonplace in these early Inns - a social place for the traveller that resembled more of a wine bar.

Like in 1845, today in our public bar you won't find any beer on tap but you will find a range of local & Australian craft beers, wine, cider & spirits.

* PLEASE NOTE: With changes to suit COVID19 restrictions, our bar indoors is for dining patrons only, however you are welcome to join us for a drink only on the verandah or in the courtyard
